When I first bought my car I drove to Iowa to get it, now mind you that I was following my dad the whole way back to Kansas City, but I got 31 mpg- going 70 the whole way. Needless to say.....I haven't got that since, and I dont think I ever will either. But I dont really do a lot of highway driving anyway.

 

I haven't driven my Z down the highway long enough to get gas mileage readings for....well ever since the mods, but Im sure that with a 236/242, ported heads, long tubes, 4,500 stall, and 4.30 gears with a th400 its not very good lol..

on the other hand my 2002 Trans am, threw out some pretty dissapointing numbers, I only get 26mpg with a 6 speed!, although I dont remember the last time I burned through a whole tank on the highway only without going 155 at least once or twice.
