Default LT1 "Sleeper" Cams?

Here's a link to information about Speed Inc's Cadillac Cam. Please read:

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...light=cadillac

Given that this was cam only with no other bolt ons, how much RWHP and RWTQ could realistically be expected with:

Advanced Induction Econoport Heads
Longtubes
ORY
GMMG Catback
CAI
MAF Ends
1LE Elbow
Ported TB & Air Foil/Charger
Underdrive pullies
Custom Tune

I know this would be a guessing game, but what could this potentially put down at the tires?

Also, are there any other companies that grind "sleeper" cams like this for the LT1? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Really? I was thinking(hoping) along the lines of 360 RWHP. Between all of the mods listed above, I was thinking for all of them, a 40 RWHP gain total might be reasonable? I am probably wrong though.

Well start by going back to stock MAF ends so your tuner cna concentrate on tuning the fuel and spark and not trying to correct the now screwed up MAF.
It looks like a very nice cam from the limited info available. I run a ZZ3 cam which is 208/221 and guys who know it is there say it sounds stock that is 17degrees more intake duration than stock though so there is a lot of room to upgrade before you get any "cammed" manners.
If they truely are getting that level of power with that few mods then I guess I could see 350 and maybe more with everything done just right.
For other sleeper cams on the Impala board the ZZ3 cam 845 cam and Crane 227 also called the 210/224 are all popular. The 845 will probably exibit enough lope for anyone knowledgable to hear it but not anything a non-enthusiast will hear.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply! Very knowledgable. I won't mess with the MAF, either. Thanks for the advice regarding that.

Also, I will look into those other cams. Of those three you listed, which would probably give the most power? Let me do some research on them. Thanks again,

Bill

They are all popular at www.impalassforum.com the weight of our cars makes "smaller" cams often a better choice coupled with the fact that a lot of us use our cars for long trips or getting groceries with the family, neither of which is likely a big concern with an f-body. The 845 probably has the most potential as it has the longest duration(214 intake), the 227 was designed for the LT1 though so it can make very similar power from less duration and with less lope, one I haven't often seen used but you might look at would be the Comp 501 another very "small" cam that would sound stock but be a definete upgrade.
