Default Good Lifters?

I'll be running a hyd roller cam, nothing insane prolly around a GM847. I dont want to reuse my stock lifters, they only have 66K miles, but I cant see the point in running the risk. GMPP has a complete lifter kit, is this any better than stock? I also was looking at a set of Comp pro Mags, any one have an experience with those? Trying to keep it around 250$. I'll be running 985-16 Comp Valve springs.

I heard the comps aren't as good as oem. Alot of people have trouble with them. I just swapped cams again with stock lifters and 123,000 miles and they still work fine(knock on wood)

Crane makes good lifters, I've bought a set when Comp had supply issues with their R lifters, they're working fine.

My buddy had the Comp R and he got an awesome set, never gave himtrouble, but I'm hearing to many negative things about the Rs bing hard to adjest and actual lifter failure. I may go with the GMPP set.

I have used the comp R's for about 6 or 7 years with no problems. Went through 2 sets in those times. None went bad......just decided to freshen up once with new ones.

From what ive heard the older comp Rs are very good, they have a golden color.

The newer silver colored ones are what has given most people trouble.
