What are the rest of the details on your build? They are good parts but that does not mean they belong in every motor.

i have an all forged 396 with 12.5:1 compression. fully ported and decked heads with a custom ground hyd. cam. when the motor goes back in it will also be supporting a 150 tnt wet kit. let me know if you need more info..

I highly recommend it! I have used one for 3 years and it really helps with valve float! Make sure you get the installation tool though (spring compressor).

i dont have the spring compressor since i bought the kit used for 100 dollars. it has around 3500 miles on it and has sat in a garage for a while. i did hear that the springs are tall and you have to get them in a small space so i might order the tool

For a wild combo like that yeah I think this is a good idea. Might also consider beehives this should help make the valvetrain very stable without getting stupid with spring pressure and collapsing lifters. Should be able to take all the revs you have nerve to throw at it.

How can anyone reccomend one without any details on the cam profile. I thought that was the most important factor that would contribute to valve float. I run a very radical lobe with lots of duration with no problem hitting 6700. Properly set up heads are a must.
