94 Impala SS, hotcam and supporting mods. I just installed a digital 6 and when it drops down to idle, it dies. Runs awesome and throttle response is unbelieveable when I have the rpms up, as soon as it drops below 900rpm, it dies. Anyone have any ideas. It's Sat and MSD tech is closed.

Have you checked your settings on the side of the unit?

 

yes, cyl switch on "2" for V8 w/o 20* start retard. all the others are for 2 step, retard and rev limit which that is at 6100.

 

Doesn't sound like it would be the Digital 6 to me. If you didn't get the adapter harness, check all your wires again for a good connection. Sounds more like TPS, MAP, or fuel to me.

 

yes it is the box, It runs fine without it. Then when I hook it up, it responds great but dies at idle or below 900rpm.

Hey sapper i have an adapter harness that i will give you when i get back from vacation. 1 week. See if that helps.
