LS1 Heads on LT1

I'm turbocharging a 383 stroker. It's an older LT1 block, and I was wondering if LS1 heads will bolt on without any modifications, and wil the benefits be worth the hassle of finding and buying them.

no they won't bolt on the bolt pattern is diff, coolant/oil passages are diff, valvetrain setup wouldn't work, etc

No, the LSX engines are a completely different platform. That's the bad news the good news is that there are some nice aftermarket heads out there that will work fantastic with your setup. Trickflow and AFR make some great LTX castings that feature among other things larger combustion chambers. The key with going FI is keeping your compression ratio low so detonation does not become a factor.
