his car's a 93... they actually had swappable "chips" then (last of the F-Body's that was "chippable")
As for what you need... I'm not sure... but here's a TTT for ya (also modifying your topic and moving a copy to the LT1 section)

He still needs to edit a bin file then burn in on to a chip with the kit that he is going to buy from pcmforless.com. TunerCATS has been doing this for all the chipped ECMs for a long time.

also .. can an LT1 Mod make a copy of this post to the PCM section? i fugged up when copying it and chose "move with redirect" ... I had meant this to stay in the PCM section also for additional assistance
edit: I've verified from a good source that you'll also need a "chip burner" .. aka something that you can plug your "chip" into and then rewrite it

There are alot of informative people over there with 93's and that burn there own chips. You can also talk to Alvin from Pcmforless.
You just need a burner and the software that comes with it. You can get these from Alvin, or the same thing from Moates.com. Alvin just carries it in a complete package instead of individually pieces. If you want to be able to edit the file yourself and do your own tuning you will need a program like Tunercat.

For years I used a PocketProgrammer II to burn chips. I used tunercats to program the bin files and datamaster to log data. You will also need a UV eraser unless you use the re-usable overwrite chips.
Check out Moates.net. You can get eveything you need from this site. the burner is like $80, then just get some chips and the adapter board. You can also download tunerpro from a link on this site. It's the editing software to change the bin file. It's also free, but you can donate to the cause. You will need the DA3 .ecu file to look at the bin file. There is also a datalogging program that works with tpi and 93 lt1's on this site. I've used it with the cable I made with no problems. Hope this helps.
