blew headgasket?
I believe I blew the headgasket. I was driving to work, the temp steadily was climbing and about a block from work it shot all the way to red, check engine came on, and I immediately pullover. I wait for the car cool,(went to get lunch) come back and the oilcap was not on! The cap was on top of the battery, there was a strange hissing noise coming from the hole in the valve cover and vapor too. So I start to refill the radiator, kept pouring water iin, into I see from the bottom of the car, where the k-member is all the water pouring out, and from the corners of the radiator. I did start the car and drove it a block to work. What could it be, headgasket or the water pump? Anyhelp?btw the car is a 94 z28 a4.

Nope no water from the waterpump, on second thought its not the waterpump that might of broken. Yes I meant the oilcap. As soon as I start to fill the radiator, water pours out from underneath the engine, you know where the pully tensioner is well from that general area. The guy that towed the car said the heads are fucked up, that from the overheating they warped.
anyone else?

How did it run after you drove it on to work? I seriously doubt you warped the heads if you shut it down as soon as the temp started rising. If it pours out as soon as you put water in then you got a major water leak. Shouldn't be hard to find. Check all yer hoses.
