Default How many of you are running a 396?

Just curious as to how many of you have or had not have problems with it? I have heard many things and I have been wanting to build that combo but leaning back towards the 383.,

I have run one now for 4 years with no problems. I had a 383 before this 396 and I would never go back. On my last years combo with hydraulic cam I put down 479 rwhp through a TH-400 and 9" and 691 rwhp with nitrous. So.....I have had good luck with it. Dont get me wrong though.....a 383 is still a hell of a good motor.

Wow! Those are some phenomenal numbers, especially thru a TH-400 and 9 inch! What heads are you running?

I figured you had to be running some kind of "aftermarket' head, to puttin' down those #'s..I think Overton's runnin' that head. Must be a pretty good choice
