My car is acting funny

My car acts funny has hell sometimes. At times it will not idle down idles around 1000-1500. other times it sits right at 600rpm.
usually when it idles high it does not want to shift when it should, acts just like my TPS is broken. I have already put 2 Tps sensors on here..

Usually when it will not shift untill about 3500 rpms no matter if I floor it or what.It will not down shift, The check engine light also comes on alot when this happends, sometimes not.

whats the deal??

Since the SES light comes on then you should scan it and retrieve the code. This should lead you to what is wrong.

Vacuume leak... you been playing under the hood recently. Take a look around for the simple things before you look for.... dare I say... OPTI..

OMG!!! haha... The day i put my votec elbow on I plulled out of my drive way and mashed it and that was the first time it did it. I didnt tap my vacume line... lol...
