alternator pulley hot!?
alternator pulley hot!? I just put my alternator back on with a madman & co. alternator bracket kit (dont buy one they sent me the wrong size belt then said tough luck) and did a 58MM Tb, and electric H20, started the car for a min, watched it charge, shut it off, started it again, and it wouldnt charge anymore, I looked at the alternator and the pulley was HOT as hell, only the pulley though, what gives?
I dont believe any one at my shop would have told you to "**** Off". Feel free to call me this morning and I will see if I can help. You were supposed to get a Goodyear Gatorback 36" belt. What did you get??
36" so either the belt, is wrong or the bracket is made wrong, I modified the bracket to make it work though. Sorry to say bad things about your company but thats exactly what happenned and it pissed me off that the alternator adjustment slot wasn't long enough to get the belt tensioned.
Its possible the belt was packaged wrong. Sorry for you having to modify the bracket.
