Default Dowel pin removal from camshaft.

I finally figured out about the cams but Now I need to know on how to remove the long dowel pin so that I can place it in the aftermarket camshaft so that it can drive the opti. I've been looking for this information on how to remove the dowel pin all over the web and can't seem to find it, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, 1sicss

Best way I've done it was to use a vise and clamp down on the pin with the cam facing up...use a pry bar and pry on the cam..just take your time and be careful...the pin can break...

A little heat on the cam doesn't hurt either....and if you don't want to save the old cam you can actually try to drill the back side of the cam and just use a punch to push it out...

Good luck!
