HELP Lt1 Fast Idling

My girl has A bone stock 96 LT1. She was coming home from work and said the Idle was hanging up (almost 2,000 rpm!). I checked under the hood and there is a very loud sucking sound coming from the Intake Plenum? She said It was fine this morning and It seems fine now except for the wizzing noise. I check for any loose vaccume hoses but didnt see any. It didnt trip any trouble codes either. Anybody ever have this problem on thier LT1 ???

what i can think of is that there is a leak somewhere in the intake or a faulty mass airflow sensor

sucking noise sounds like a vacuum leak, but that should cause a low idle in most cases. MAF would throw a code. check to make sure the intake elbow didn't work its way off the TB, or have a hole in it somewhere.

Id check really good for vacuum leaks and make sure the intake plenum is on the TB good. Could have also been you IAC valve sticking, might check that out.
