Default Need help with swap issues

So Im having a used 94 LT1 dropped into my 95 Z28. I wasnt shocked when they couldnt use my Opticrap, and the motor dropped in no problem but it wont run worth a damn and needs a new Optispark. Also my mechanic is telling me it doesnt have timing marks on it. Im going to have them put a new Opti in it, but is there anything else I need to look for? I dont mind so much having to put the new Opti in, but Im pretty worried that I overlooked a major hitch in the swap and that I might have problems with my PCM working on this motor. Any thing you guys can think of that might also make it run like sh*t besides the Opti? Thanks

Chris

What timing marks is your mechanic talking about? there are no timing marks on an LT1 damper. Yes, you'll need a vented opti to work with your existing harness in addition to that you'll need the following:
1- 95+ cam gear,
2- 95+ cam (longer dowl pin),
3- 95 timing cover, 96-97 with a hole for the cp sensor will also work.

Yes the cam can be swaped while motor is in the car. The AC condensir needs to be swiveled out of the way when the cam is removed or installed.
