Valvesprings/Revs
I'm puttin in these valve springs when I do my GM847 install

If I tune out the rev limiter, what do you think I'll be able to safely rev too with those in?
And yes I know they're listed as LS1, but I called the Cam help guys and they said it'll drop right in.
Also, my engine is completely stock, manifold and all, so looks like well finally get some legitimate numbers regarding GM847's in stock engines. Keep yall updated

They are #26915 beehive springs. Yes they work in the lt1. The relative components #794-16 titanium retainers 4705 seats and 611-16 locks..
You can choose steel retainer #795-16. And these all 10degree.. If you want 7 degree retainers.. #787-16 the part number.. But I vote for 26918 for gm847 camshaft and 10degree hardware..

I dont think I need em that stiff. What does the degree affect. And why do you think I should get such stiff valvesprings? Not tryin to be an ***, just valvetrain stuff isn't my forte, tryin to learn as much as I can. Also, my main question was what do you think i could rev it to?
I totaly agree with Black97 about the 918 springs. The GM847 is a large cam that allows the motor to rev high and that's where a stiffer spring helps stabalize the valvetrain better. I'd say it could rev to around 6800 rpm.
I'd go with steel retainer because there's not that much difference between the 2 since the beehive design uses a retainer that's so small. The price difference between the 2 is not justified by the weight advantage.

787-16 retainers
What else should I get just to get it running. I'm poor and don't mind taking the valvetrain apart some more down the road. So just the essentials.
