Default possible buying S/C lt1

I am going to look at a supercharged Z28 thursday and will probably buy it, it has the P-660-b system on it, m6, with full suspension mods, anything that i should look for and any problems generally associated with a S/C lt1 that i should know about?

If it is still on the stock bottem end i wouldnt expect it to live to much longer on boost. The pistons tend to get holes in them espesially over 6 psi.

I had a very bad experience buying a built blown car. It'd be wise not to buy a half-done project unless you've got a ton of money to dump into it. I got into financial trouble that way.

The real question is how long ago was the supercharger installed and why is the person selling a supercharger Z. It's really a flip of the coin. You could have a guy who bought the car new and supercharged it and after a few years got bored- wants something new. But you could have a guy that supercharged his car and broke something else that he can't seem to fix or is really expensive. I would look at the age of the person, responsibilty goes out the window because a supercharged car has a 99% chance it has been raced probably like crazy. But ask for reciepts, and make sure the supercharger is making the lovely whining sound that I love to hear. Check out the intercooler if you can. This is why people buy stock cars and put the pennies in themselves but you can also save $$$. Hey, hope you come up on an awesome car man. Good Luck!!!
