The inside of a 150,000 Mile Opti :)
Well I had to changed the Waterpump on my car (new one from last year only lasted 10k) so I figured after 151,000 miles it was time to buy a new opti. Vented opti was stock. I got everything taken care of and I figured I'd open the old one to see what the cap and rotor looked like.
Doesn't look happy .

it actually looks pretty good cant believe its 150k , you shouldve seen what mine looked like when it came off at 120K (those little contacts looked like 6mm rust spots, and the rotor was wobbling around both screws were almost all the way out and surprisingly my car drove not so bad).
If your gonna change opti, do what i did change plugs and wires. (requires major patience though)
By the way does anyone know where i can get the opti vent hoses?

I think Dal was $14 for the vent harness. It's required if you buy an opti from him to get the warranty he has on optis.
I did my plugs like 2 months ago and yes they were a PITA. well the driver's side was easy and the pass side was major PITA.

If any distributor get wet they certainly will act up till they dry out. Wonder how many optis have been replaced before they were given a chance to dry out? To keep them dry put a little plug wire grease on the weatherpack connector it is the most water vulnerable spot.
