the higher the stall the more hp it sems to eat up... my friends car made only 318 rwp but over 400 tq... that was through a th400 with a 4000 vig stall and a 12 bolt.

The only real difference in what you stated and the link you posted is that the $400 dollar kit comes with everything needed to install it, and a Rear stud girdle....which is a pretty good deal if ya ask me.

I have a 97 Formula which came with a 2.73 gear (A4). I put in a Strange 3.42 gear. I lost 1-2 mpg but the change in power was worth it. It still hauls (haven't tried top end, but it is well over 100 mph) and I gained several tenths in the quarter mile.
