Default Harmonic balancer marking and adjusting valves

Ok so i checked to make sure i put my crank hub back on like it came off and i did(used a paint marker). My question is , i heard the harmonic balancer is marked and how can you verify if your at TDC1 by using it?
I have done TDC 1 with the help of Robert on this site, but i wanted to know if there was a way to readjust my valves by myself without dragging somebody else into helping. I have small doubts that they were adjusted perfectley the first time and wanted to get them adjusted right on this time.

I had a guy that was gonna help me with the engine running method but he pussed out. I had tried to adjust them with engine running before he came. And i really cant hear ****, it just too loud to adjust this way.

Any help would be cool.

If the arrow on the hub was installed at 12 o'clock when the crank key was at 1:30 then you can go by the arrow on the damper. When the arrow on the damper in at 12 o'clock that's when #1 is @ TDC.

Yeah i figured it out , I didnt know that the arrow was by the actuall frame of the harmonic balancer. I thought it was on the balancer weight directly. Anyways got it adjusted today and it is running just in time for me to outrun this hurricane if I need to.
