1.6:1 rockers, throttle body, air foil, tune (if considered), gears & Stall (if considered)

I think full bolt ons would be this:

CAI
Headers
Cutout *preference*
Cat back
Gears
Stall
Sticky tire

I would't consider rockers a "basic" bolt on. Get yourself a stall and some gears man and that thing will fly.

I have the 3:23 gear stock. I'm going to stay with that for a while. I can't keep traction right now as it is...With sticky tires I think I can get a 1.9 60' and that would be good enough. I'll think about getting a stall, but I really don't go to the track much. I'm definitaly going to get some nitto's. (or something along the lines of a drag radial) I don't think the throttle body would do anything, unless I had more mods...Do you think I can run a mid 13 with what I currently have? If I hooked off the line. I would think I could hit around 101 in the quarter, does that seem logical?

My tires aren't made to be "sticky" they are BFG KDWS. You should trap between 102.5-104 with a tune.

i would think if gears would be a bolt on rockers would be as well, also Gm high-tech performance considers it's a bolt on.

if you can hook you can easily hit mid 13's, i was doing it without headers in my Auto and we had the same mods except for my tune from pcmforless.

Gm high-tech performance doesn't speak for half the people that only know the "basic" bolt ons . The reason I wouldn't consider them a simple bolt on is because it's part of your valvetrain. I don't know, but to me it just don't seem like a bolt on someone would just happen to have. What part of IL you from?

Should I get my car tuned from pcmforless, or go to a local place? Did you notice a big difference? Also, when they send you the tune, where does it go? Sorry for such a basic question. Is it something really easy I can put in myself? Kind of like the LT4 Km.

You have to send your PCM in. I prefer Madz28.com for my tunes. You send in your PCM, and you can't drive it until it gets put back in. You won't need the LT4 KM if he desensitizes knock.

Well, I already have the LT4 KM. So, I guess that doesn't matter. Wow, that sucks. I can't drive my car until it comes back. Well, forget that then...I'll have to go to the local guy my friend was talking about.

It only takes a couple days man, Ion is really quick at tuning. He usually ships out the same day he tunes it. I got mine within 3 days.

Yeah, but wouldn't a local tune do the same thing? Like I said, my friend got 18rwhp. Am I getting some type of extra benefit ordering it from madz28 or pcmforless?

How much would this guy charge, and does he offer free tunes after it? Have you driven your car yet? Have you felt a nice difference? I had about .5 difference after my header installation.

I think my friend told me he charged 200 bucks. I'm not sure about the free tunes after. I'll have to find out. I was driving my car around today for a bit. (I had kind of a lot to do) The car felt great. Yes, a big difference. I'm honestly very shocked how much of a change it made. When I put shorty headers on my 305 camaro, it was only a little difference. This car screams. I really like the sound too.

I don't think I can get an air foil. I have one of those metal intake elbows. Also, an air foil really doesn't do anything anyway. At least nothing noticable. I doubt you would even see anything on the dyno. Just my opinion...

I noticed a difference but i cannot recall how much it was 2yrs ago since my car had only those mods. They can send you a tuned pcm first then you send your stocker back, i chose that route just had to pay a core charge but if you send your stocker back you will get a full refund of the core.

Now ION did my tune on the 97 and i noticed a nice increase in power and it pulled better in 5th & 6th gear. he's a really cool guy and since we met up in person he did a dyno tune and adjusted some other things differently then he would for just a basic tune.

also im running a jet hot air foil with a trickflow intake elbow as long as you don't have the vortech elbow you should be able to run the air foil, as far as gains ive seen reportings of 4-5 RWHP & 2-3 RWTQ from it and in my book every little bit counts.
