prolly low 12s, high 11s! where do u live?? our actual elavation is 3200' above sea level, with DAs around 5000-5500 on the norm. the occasional cold night nets low 4000s. lol. The car needs a converter extremely bad. It ran 12.64 @ 116mph this saturday at 4000 DA.

What a tough question! I mean, the only way I could honestly answer, is by recounting my real-world experience with headers. I've installed long-tube headers on two F-Bodies, and used Kooks both times. So, to be truthful, I can't say jack about the other brands, because I have no experience with them.

I like Kooks's quality (especially their clean, smooth, slag-free welds), their tight fit, zero ground clearance loss, and the fact that they are stainless.

Does this make them the best brand out there? I don't know...I've never installed any other brand.

They may be the best designed, but the price tag is very representative of it. For the other brands, i.e. PaceSetter, JH, Hooker....I would say PS takes the cake out of them just due to price. The design is very similar between the 3.

i have always believed pacesetter to be of low quality hence the cheap price. you get what you pay for. i have heard a lot of talk about the pacesetters though. curious to see how long a set will last and how well the coating last.

i am curently running JBA shorties and i love them. i had arizona speed an marine headers before that and they sucked. the collector would hit the frame and blow gaskets so frequently the muffler shop refused to work on my car again till i got a new set of headers. when i was installing JBAs i droped the drivers side by accident and it accually fell into place. i only had to lift it up a hair to line up the bolts. i plan to go with the hooker LTs when i pull the engine and going with a true dual set up.

oh and i ran 13.8 bone stock w/ stickey mickeys and no filter in the box. a low temp stat and thermomaster chip got me 13.3s. that was @ E-town in NJ. i am now in VA too. i miss the 1/4 mile.

Im on 2 yrs with my non coated one's and there holding up just find the black paint is still there and no signs of rusting like other painted headers have.

and 6 months with my coated one's there getting a little brown on the bottom of the collectors but who cares that under the car and if it happens to travel upward to where the whole thing starts to change colors they warranty out there coating for 3yrs.
