Stock LT1 add cam?

Stock LT1 add cam? Would it be a bad idea to add a cam to my basiclly stock 97 LT1 m6 w/ intake/exhaust, if so why? If not what else will I need to get the best results, and which cam would you recomend.
How many miles are on your car? I would not recommend installing a cam if your car has alot of miles on it without and engine rebuild. What type of exhaust do you have (LTs, mid lengths, shorties, catback or True duals)? You will ofcourse need to upgrade your springs, rockers, possibly lifters if the car has some miles on it. Then there is cam selection. You can go very mild (LT4 Hot Cam, CC305) or more aggressive (CC306 or GM847). I would recommend getting some gears (with your M6 4.10s would be great). For best results you need to get a good tune. Hope this helps.
