bad first rebuild
i have several problems with finishing my engine rebuild. i have a small blue connector that seemingly leeds to no were. it stem from the driverside wire harness next to the ignition coil any ideas. my harmonic balancer hub is not in synch with the rest of the pulleys... how do i fix it......does anyone know of a starter relay for a 94 formula if so where the hell is it? the starter itself isnt fully engaging and i dont know why considering the fadt that its a brandnew batterey and all the wires are on correctly and tightend down....please help me i want to give up but i know that when its done and i can finally go to the track and get times it will all be worth it..... please help me!!!!
the blue plug goes to the temp sensor on the drivers side head between cylinder 1 and 3 exhaust ports.
the balancer hub isn't in synch with other pulleys? do you mean it's sticking out farther than the others? if so use a aluminum mallet to beat the hub on a little further, and use the bolt to pull it the rest of the way on, DO NOT use the bolt to do the whole job, it'll pull the threads out of the crank.

Hey man I will try to help you the best of my memory its been a couple of months since I last worked on an LT1. The blue connector you are talking about should go into the intake elbow on the top . Its an air sensing unit.I'm not sure what you mean about the harmonic balancer not being insync with the rest. Please specify that. It has a keyway on the crank and thats the only way it will go on.There is not a starter realy on the cars. It has to be the starter or a bad connection. Whe you say its not engauging all the way do you mean its getting power to and turning over or is it not hitting the flywheel at all? Pm if you have any other questions. hope this healps. Thanks Matt
I had the car apart and backtogeter one time and had a problem where it was completely dead, no cranking once i turned the key. Turned out that i forgot to reconnect the ground for the ECU. Make sure to double check all of thoes if you are getting no crank.
yeah thanks for the blue connector advice, and for the harmonic balancer. when i said its not in synch it was not allighned with the other pulleys. but the starter is cranking but not at full power and all the connections are good and tite im going to test the batterey today at work. thanks alot for the help guys.....if any thing else come to mind please let me know but once again i thank you all....... aj.
yeah it almost there.... ive got a electrical problem still but the balancer and the other problems are completed....i didnt know that if u took the battery out with out disconnecting the factory alarm nuthn would work. ill post when its done .
