I'm not sure about for an LT1 , But I am pretty happy with my Hooker catback for my LS1. The price is right, the sound is good, and the restriction is VERY low

Yeah, my buddy nbmgreg has the hooker and loves it, i went to ls1 sounds and heard the hooker on an lt1 and it sounds pretty sweet. So far that is what i am leaning towards.

SLP Loudmouth without a doubt is the sweetest exhaust for an LT1. I put mine on a week ago and love it to death...lol. It sounds awesome.

there is a sound clip on ls1 sounds of my car with gmmg stock manifold and stock cat. I gutted the cat... Every time i go some where i get a comment on how sweet and deep the exhuast note is. expensive but worth it. I cant imgine headers + gmmg on a lt1 i bet its somewhere close to sex.

I think Hooker and Magnaflow are the best for the money if you want an economical choice.

For the absolute best sound if money is no object, go with GMMG.

Cutouts! Then you progress to True duals.

True duals with x-pipe and muffler of your choice! i have yet to hear a bad sounding true dual setup.

It's actually just as good, I've broken up with my girlfriend now but I get along fine now that I have my GMMG.

GMMG, borla, hooker, and flowmaster seem to be the most popular sounding in that order.

Texas Speed and Performance Rumbler. It's cheaper than all the rest and sounds pretty good, although it likes to pop a lot when revving in higher rpms.
But if I had the money, I would've went with their true duals.

The popping is normal (backfire). You will get that with any exhaust.
