Default New Best (NA)

TWS and I went to SAR tonight to make a few passes. Last time out I was running low 12's with a finickey tranny. Tonight everything acted the way it should, thanks to John Goebel.

I'll keep this short and not list every run
New Best 60'...............1.609
New Best 1/8 ET..........7.409
New Best NA 1/8 MPH...92.78
New Best 1/4 ET..........11.630
New Best NA 1/4 MPH...119.21

All passes were made with 28" rear tires and going through the traps at around 5800 RPM. 3525 Raceweight

Now if I hadn't forgotten my NX Bottle at work I might have gotten my 10 sec pass, but I will leave that for another day.

Nice times man. Those 28" tall tires on 3.73 gears are probably holding you down from really getting into your powerband at the big end of the track. You probably know that already though.

Question, why is it your calling your transmission a 4 speed power glide LOL.

What size stall do you have and what compression is the motor?

Awesome times for that weight! What heads and cam set up are you running on your 396? Any dyno numbers?

I was planning on spraying the car, that is why I had the 28's on the car.

The reason I call it a 4spd powerglide is that is the easiest way to describe the way my tranny controls the fluid and the shifts. It has a custom built front pump assembly by John Goebel.

You dyno'd the 422/447 through the 6 speed? That's a ton of torque through a 6 speed. Great numbers with such a little cam!

Yes that was through a M6, 17" wheels, and the Borla.
When my engine builder suggested the cam I was very concerned that it was to small, I was replacing a H/C setup that was running a 238/242 .568/.568 110LSA, but I am now glad I trusted him. The car is a very civil/streetable combo that can run pump gas in 100 deg Tex Heat with no probs.
