Default 383 Stroker and Stock Throttle Body?

I just bought my car about a month ago and they had recently put a 383 Stroker kit on it with an Lt4 Cam Kit with 1.6 Roller rockers. Its Ported and Polished with a 3angle valvle job and Keith black pistons with 11.5:1 Comp. It also Has Hooker Mid-length headers, with no cats and Borla Exhaust.

My Question to you guys is that it still has the stock throttle body. Should I get an aftermarket one and if so what size and brand? And Is there anything else I should have done That needs to be done with all this work to the engine?

Thanks,

This is a very mild 383, the qustion is for how long will it stay like this? I had a BBK 58 mm TB for years when my setup consisted of a stock short block with stock LT4 topend and hotcam. I still have the same tb on the 396 with a little bit wilder topend.
IMHO get the one that will allow you to grow to your final goal, going bigger here is not bad.

I will probably keep it like it is for a while or until something goes wrong with it to give an excuse to upgrade but what throttle body is best for my setup right now? 52mm, 54mm, or a 58mm?

As mild as your combination is, the stock 48mm is plenty. You will gain nothing but an lighter wallet by going to a larger tb.

Good luck, Ed
