Default Lloyd Elliot, 11s....

Just wondering if anyone has hit high 11s in the 1/4 with the LE2 package from Lloyd Elliott (www.eportworks.com). Please include whether your car is an auto or manual.

I would have been real close if my 2-3 clutch packs hadn't gone out on the automatic. Im 6speed now and I have to learn to drive again to get my ET that low.

The 12.26 was with stock 3.23s...I went to 3.73s in pursuit of 11.90s and that's when the trans crapped out.

I only have LE2 heads, with a Comp XE 224/230...but he did my heads before it was called "LE1" and "LE2", etc.

My car ran 11.66@117mph N/A with stock valved LE1 heads/cam, 3.42's and a 3,500 converter. This was awhile back when he first got some cams from Joe O. It is very possible to go deep 11's with the LE1 or 2 setup. Later Clint

I know of a few people running 11's with LE heads. A friend here in town is running 11.70's with an LE headed 383. He uses a TH400 with a fully manual valve body and trans-brake, and has a 9 inch with slicks.

If I'm not mistaken there are several people running in the 11.7 area with just the LE1 heads/cam and a properly set up car.

This sounds very promising. Thanks to all for the posts. I'm hoping to have my LE-2 heads and cam before the spring competition begins at my local drag strip next year. 11s would outmuscle the red viper that's part of the local Mopar club. It will be so nice to beat him with a stock looking C4

le1.5 heads and Joe O. cam smaller than the le1 cam, 3000 stall, 3.73's, et streets, and a pcmforless tune took me to 11.71 at 116.7 in horrible weather. Then the 383 le2 setup went 11.78 at 115.6 on 16" drag radials, 3600 yank, lifting at the top of 1st so I wouldn't hit stall wall, shifting at 5800-5900, base tune, and having the converter lock at 5500rpms in 3rd, then immediately shift to OD and drop to 3900 rpms and bog me bad.

I've also seen le2 heads/bret bauer le3 cam go 12.20 at 118 with a 2.3 60ft with no tune, stock gears, 6 speed, and spinning like crazy.

I ran 12.79 @107 with iron heads and CC 224/230 before my LE2 package. Havent gone to the track yet (going Friday11/4) but the car is much stronger. With the old setup the car stopped pulling by the time I shifted at 6300 rpm's. Now on the street is is still pulling hard when I shift at 6500 rpms. But my car does weigh in at 4400 lbs. Hope to see better times I will find out Friday.

I think you meant high 10's, low 11's.

Yeah, and by DA I meant bad DA, the man lives in Amarillo for christ sake. (4400ft above sea level) but I think they took a trip to Houston.

Does Joe O. have a site where I can get more info? I am seriously considering the Elliot package for my LT1, just would like to do more research before I drop that kind of money.
