97 SS air filter??

I have a 97 Camaro SS and wanted to replace the air filter with a K&N but they do not make one for it?????? I have however seen SSs with a K&N in the air box. Has any body done this and if so could you give me a part # please.

dont use the k&n. its not made for our ss airbox. its actually a jeep airfilter. its doesnt seal right and the ribs in the filter are running long ways (left to right) and it will tend to compress when the motor is really sucking air in.

i ran one for a few months and took it out and the ss airbox was full of dust and crap.

accel cool blue has a reuseable highflow filter that is made just for the ss airbox. the ribs run top to bottom just like the normal filters. i called accel and got the number but i lost it.

im still runing the stock napa filters
