is this normal? i just got my 3500 stall and shift kit put in and broke it in. i went out this morning and got on it a little bit and it shifted fine into 2nd, but when it was going into 3rd, it tapped the rev limiter a couple of times. is this because the tranny wasnt rebuilt right or because now i need a tune because of the converter to reset my shift points.
I dont know much at all about stall converters, but I'm thinking its normal, probably until you get a tune. The reason I say this is because I've watched two videos of cars with stalls and they both tapped the rev limiter. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
yeah and I had no luck with the tuning I received for my high stall on my 95. For some reason my car didn't lke it and would quickshift from 1st to 2nd way far away from shiftpoints. Even if I dead hooked it did it. So I took a chance and had bryan herter remove it. Car runs good now
