Pace Setter LT install
Pace Setter LT install How hard is it to install Lt headers from Pace Setter?? I just removed just the right manifold from a 94 Z and would like to beat the guy over the head that designed it. If it's easier to install those headers I'm going that route!!!
You should pull out the motor mount pin and try to jack up the motor a little bit. Make sure you have clearance on the ground, I had that problem. The right manifold meaning passenger or drivers side? Long tubes go in from the bottom FYI.
Wow, i sprayed the bejesus out of my bolts manifolds y pipe cat etc. I couldnt get **** to budge i move 3 header bolts, i have pace LTs but its lookin like im going to have to wait on an install. The hardest part about install for LTs, at least im hearing is pulling the old manifolds out, so if you have one side out then get some LTs.
Yes I pulled out the passenger manifold just to get rid of the air tube going into it. What a bitch!!! I thought **** on this if headers are easier to put back in that's the way to go. I had a serious problem removing the bolt next to the down pipe #6 cyclinder. Just couldn't get to it! I worked on that bastard for 2 hours. I might as well be a contortionist now because I was in every position to get it out!!! how high do I need the car to be?? It's on ramps now, is that high enough??
LT1's are hard to work on, but not as hard as some people make it out to be. The hardest part with the headers putting in is matching up the gaskets and the holes and keeping everything sturdy without moving it.
