how to take out crank?

how to take out crank? i got all the stuff off the front of the motor and got the hormonic balancer off of the hub but the timeing cover wont come off how does the hub come off and can i get it back on or does it need to be pressed or what i hate the way theses motors are put together you need to take off three things just to take off one!
Get a puller, it will come off. Start it back on the shaft, and pull it back on with the bolt. To get the timimg cover off you have to drop the pan a quarter inch to clear the gasket. To get the crank out, you gotta drop the pan, take your rod caps off, main caps off, and yank the bad boy out. Well, thats the extremely simplified version of how to do it. DO NOT mix your rod caps or your main caps. The rod ends and caps are machines as an assembly from the factory. The offsets are different depending on how the castings fit in the fixture from the factory. If you mix them, you WILL spin a bearing, or 6 or 8. Have fun!
