Tuning a LT1???

Tuning a LT1??? Well did some research and came up with C.A.T.S. tuner....anyone have expierence with them?... I plan on dyno tunign this and I want to tune the computer myself..., Will this system work? Not to sure but does it re-flash the stock ECU or for full tuning features do I have to go with a different aftermarket box like AEM??? Thanx in advance guys!

yeha I looked in there for tunign and I foudn some, but some which didnt make sence but I will actually read everythign soon....but I might go with a aftermarket ignition and megasquirt caus eI have been very fond of that system for a while 
Tunercat works well and the customer service is great. Megasquirt is not MAF at least not last I looked so if you have a 94+ car you would lose that and tuning speed density is MUCH more involved than MAF. Not knocking Megasquirt in any way if I were retrofitting something to injection it would be very high on my list of possible systems.

Check out Moates.net. He has the Ostrich which is for emulation only, or he
has the AutoProm which does emulation for realtime tuning and also has datalogging capability using various software such as datamaster. If you use the Tumerpro RT software you can datalog and emulate at the same time. I use this on my 93 and works great. Once you get your tune dialed in, you can then just burn a chip with the built in burner and run that instead of leaving the Autoprom hooked up.

Yeah a 93 is different. You could consider swapping to the 94-5 MAF system too, not saying that is necessarily the ultimate setup just want you to have options to consider. I swapped to the 94-5 setup on my 96 because the tuning and logging software is SO much cheaper than the 96+
