Cam Install
Cam Install Well, chances are my capitols gonan be a little lacking, so much lacking that im prolly gonna end up with a 93 m6 with like a million miles on it. I plan on doing alot of the work to the motor myself. I wanna do a cam, and have always thought that in order to change a cam, you have to pull the motor. Well, I was just reading a thread that has me confused, they are talking aobut not having to pull the motor I think. How would that work? I mean, from were the cam is, youd have to take your radiator/bumber/everything infront off.... So am I right in saying that you have to drop the motor when doing a H/C?
No, to do a cam, you simply remove the fans, radiator, AC condensor(you can actually just swing it up out of the way), and the front of the motor(crank hub, waterpump, opti, timing cover, and timing chain) and there will be enough room for the cam to slide out. You dont need to drop the motor for heads either.
