Default M6 Bolt On Record

I will spare the details but having to put back on a rocker after a record setting run is easier to do due to motivation! And that was the second time I had a rocker come off Saturday....

1.633
7.769
87.72
12.203
111.35
DA 759'
throwing a rocker off on the top end.

backed it up with the belt on:

1.605
7.757
87.56
12.219
113.23
DA 421'

Scales were not working, 3 weeks ago it was 3130 with driver, I guess it was about that this time with the addition and deletion of stuff.

Big congrats, I need to get some weight reduction tips from you! Nice job rowing the gears. When do you plan on starting with the motor mods?

Damn you Shon ! Congrats on the new number, especially the mph on the second run (WOW, 113 mph). The LT1's still show some life after all Man, that is awesome. I guess I have to re-think my ET goal for a bolt-on car now that the record is a little faster

Congrats on a long quest finally done.......................

Gotta love that DA'

Thanks! Russ is the man on rowing, unbelievable!! Weight Reduction is easy! If you can see it, it needs to be removed. Motor mods will be way later, got more weight to remove and then motor mods, unless this one expires on me sooner than I hope....

See above about reduction!

Launch it as close to 6k as we can, dumping it and keeping it flat footed 1330'. I am notorious for throwing rockers, I set them up loose, too loose at times....

That DA is alot better than I had expected, when the sun went down I knew it was going to be a good day!! And that 113 is almost unbelievable...

Big congrats to you. I knew you had the record in the bag. Just wait. It's going to get colder and the times will drop somemore. Way to go! The LT1 is still alive baby! You've got me very motivated.

Good runs man!

Might want to step up to a lifter like the Morels so you dont have to run them so loose, might keep your breakage of parts down a ton.

Too bad roadtrip can't get back out and defend his title in the low DA weather, but hell low DA in Amarillo is still scary high.

Congrats

I knew you were going to get it done, only a matter of time. Impressive mph, along with a great 60' (for a m6). We still have a ways to go to get sub 12's

Shon, toss a cam in, the cam only m6 is only 11.94, that should be a walk in the park for us.

Congrats

Thanks!
Russ is going to be making some other changes this week and I think it will be going to Rockingham Friday night.

Changes will be 4.33 gears and lighter hood.

Cam only is 11.94!? That is too easy, I will wait and let you set a mark and I will blow it away, just kidding!!

Shon's car weighed in at 3130 with me in it, before the heavy-ish rear swaybar. I agree, that 113 mph pass was some serious truckin'. I woulda have liked to have seen the mph on the 12.20 pass had the rocker not came off.

1.6 ProMags.
Wanted to try the 1.7s but knew the 1.6s worked so we went that route.

Most places have them for around $500, I'm lucky I do about $50 better than that....

Best thing to do for info on them is do a search for Morel and Cstraub on here and you'll learn a ton about them.

I don't think it is considered bolt on if it is inside the motor. Definitely not SI anymore. Nice times none the less, but I would not consider it bolt-ons. You can bolt on heads too. Is that a bolt on? I don't think so.
