Fleetwood LT1 question

Fleetwood LT1 question The only difference that I know between an Fbody LT1 and a Fleetwood LT1 is that it has cast iron heads. Do you think they are decent engines or do you think they are garbage? I am wondering because I have found a fleetwood with one for cheap and I plan to put a LT1 in my car by next July. Opinions anyone?
If you're putting the motor in your Monte, I imagine the Fleetwood cam would be more suited to your car considering its weight (I imagine it to be heavier than an F body). Otherwise the block and all the internals are pretty much the same. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to swap it without modifying it so you can always improve it with heads and cam. As far as junk goes, just because it came out of a Fleetwood doesn't make it junk. It might even be in better shape cuz grandma probably never spun it to 5500+. I would say the accessories from your 305 should bolt up to the LT1.

you're better off with the f-body accessory bracket as most (all I've ever seen / done) clear the g-body frame & let the belt be changed, whereas the b-body one is just a tiny bit closer to the frame rail with the AC pulley.
Other than that, give it a little bit of extra cam and go with the iron LT1. The heads flow slightly better. Upgrade later.
