Default cc305 in stock lt1

i need alittle help i just freshened up my lt1 with new bottom end parts (nothing crazy just bored 30over and basically stock stuff) and i have a new set of stock heads for it. My question is is this a good cam to go with for my motor. i am just looking for a street toy (auto trans so i will be putting a convertor in it) and do i need to do anything else other than a tune for the cam. Or rockers or anything like that . Or is there a better cam to go with. I want a good sound through a borla exhaust. Thanks

It all in what you like.....A buddy of mine had the 306....Its a I have a big cam kinda cam...305 is not as aggressive....
Supporting mods was 1.6 rockers, LS1 air box setup with SSRA ram air setup....Hooker LongTubes,Trueduals (cheap summit kit),Lotta Suspension(Just about everything possible) that was alot of the ET, a great tune from Ed Wright, and that pretty much it.....I know it sounds like a lot but once you get started its hard to stop....

Those are on mine...Its A4... I run it with stock stall for about a year ran a best of 12.5@110 with it then went to Yank 3600....With the STR of 3.0 the yank it made it alot more streetable with that big of a stall But being a obd-1 I had shifting issues, but eventually got those figured out VIA Ed Wright

The 306 Likes the RPMS better, and it sounds good but for a stock motor I would say the 305 would be a more feasible choice , unless you just wanted the sound....I out ran my buddy with the 306 with my 305 ...it made better mid range power than his 306

With the 305 motor I ran it with stock injectors, with a 58 mm TB that came on the car when I bought it....Didn't make any more power with the 58 mm over stock, Ed proved that to me....I ran 3.73 gears in it...Depending on what your plans are for the car I wouldn't give up the thought of 4.10s with it , but that all depends on what you are gonna be using it for...
