just put a new fuel pump in and it holds 42# idling put a new optie in it last year.when i drve it it runs good for a little bit but when i take it up high it starts to spit and spuder. tried to drive it to work today and it didnt make it when i was going down the parkway it would spit and spuder and die but it would crank back up but i dint make it far any thoughts thanks

 

stupid question, did you change the fuel filter?

 

yes i did when it starts acting up the fuel pressure stays the same i thought it was the pump again

 

Maybe opti-spark or spark plug wire on headers

 

check your coil wire

 

Put A New Coil And Coil Wire On No Difference Could It Be My Pcm just put my stock mass air back on didnt change a thing some one help

Well one time I had a similar problem but I knew it wasn't the opti. I thought I had bad gas so I got some better gas, changed the fuel filter and nothing changed. Turns out I had a couple dead plugs and presto! Problem solved.

 

Yeah try plugs/wires first if you haven't. That fixes a lot of problems. If it's a high mileage car with the stock opti then maybe look at that next.

 

dealer ship tuned it up and put a new optie in it last year maybe its going out again

 

Scan it for codes. Mine showed up with a "lo res failure" DTC.

 

how old r ur injectors, mabey they need to be cleaned, I cleaned my 146,000 mile injectors and it cleane dit up a WHOLE LOT!!! jsut my 2 cents

 

Put Some 24#injecters In It. Ran The Codes It Pulled Up 8 Cant Remember All But Egr Lean On Exceleration .got It Out Of The Garage The Other Day Service Engine Light Wasnt On I Drove It About 3 Miles It Started Acting Up When It Starts Acting Up Its Like I Shout The Key Off But It Will Start Right Back.I WILL RUN THEM AGAIN TOMORROW

 

8 codes? I'd say you've got major issues if that's the case.

 

got the car out of the garage today check engine light wasnt on but after i drive it for about 20 or 30 and it warmed up real good it comes on and starts acting funny could it be my optie
