I gutted mine on my 95, it doesant throw a code. In experiance with gutting every car I have owned and al my buddies, I have found it is easiest to get a solid piece of metal with a sharp end about 18" long. take a sledge and beat it in there. Every so often rev it up and clean it out. Make sure you get all the pieces out. And dont inhale that cause if will mess you up.
