Idealy it should be scaned and looking at the injetcor pulse width, it should be 80-85%. The stock LT4 motors came from the factory with 28#, so I'm guessing that the larger hotcam will require 30#, that's what I used when I had the same setup as yours.

I have heard the stock injectors are good to about 400 hp but i dont know what duty cycle that is at. like mentioned it should be around 80-85%. a crude way of estimating is that an injector should be able to support at least double the number of pounds in horsepower per cylinder. ie 28# x 2 = 56 hp/cylinder. these are crank power numbers. advantages of a larger injector, assuming you need it, would be not leaning out, added insurance and more growing room for fuel hungry mods.

I had problems running the stock injectors when I had my Vette. I had a similar setup to yours. I would recommend upgrading to some 30 lb/hr injectors.

RPMs comes into play with injector selection as the higher the rpm the less time the injector has to injecet sufficient fuel. That said METALBEAST is not the first to need larger injectors with the HOT cam and heads some guys need them with just the cam.
I am finding that even with my smaller cam and stock heads I am begining to tax the stock injectors and power is falling off towards the topend. I at first thought it was the pump but injector duty cycles are going over 90% with spikes beyond 100%.
