Default In need of help.

Ok guys everyone is telling me different things on the other forums around here so i figured id come back to my roots the LT1 board.

what should be my first mods?
theres so much to chose from i dont kno where to start.
Its going to be a semi-dd not all out and mainly a weekend cruising car / drag

where do i start? ive been reading and posting on the boards for months and still have not a clue where to start on my LT-1 right now the car is completely stock.

im hoping to be in the 450+rwhp range... when all said and done N/A
and im nto a millionaire so i dont want to do sumthing... then have to redo it when im pushing more hp and also the expensive mods will be spread pretty far apart. so any help is appreciated... i think i covered everything if you need anymore info on my car or anything to determine the best route for me let me know.

450 rwhp requires a lot of work. Assuming NA, will need to have a short block built, very good cylinder heads, a heavily worked over intake and all the supporting valverain stuff. If it's an A4, you'll need a stall, for an M6 a good clutch. If you get the power and traction then the rear may grenade, espesialy if it's an M6, so 12 bolt or 9".
To choose a single mode that'll be good now and for the 450 whp, I'd choose LT headers.

SSALAH is absolutely right. That amount of power NA will require a stroker motor (383 or 396) with some worked over LT4, Trickflow or AFR heads. Couple that with all your boltons, LT4 intake, 42 lb/hr injectors, RR, lifters, short block, etc, etc. You can expect to have $3000 in just the heads (this includes buying the heads and having someone like Lloyd Elliot port, polish and assemble them). This much power WON'T come cheap no matter how you look at it.
