I probably would bid on it, hell it's only $50, the harness and ecm are worth that much.
If you're looking for a complete motor to drop into something, you can probably do better, but if it's a project car and you don't mind rebuilding the motor, toss a bid on it

If he didn't have enough patience to place everything in a nice order and he wants so little for it what makes you think he took his time to remove it and used precaution. It might be broken might not.

If you enjoy engine work, its a good deal. If not, you would be buying a bucket of headaches. Will he ship it? I guess you'd make out if you parted it out and resold everything (as long as they still work).
Personally, I'd stay away from that one.
