I know the opti is hard to get to, but you need to cover it with a bag or something to keep it from getting wet. Try not to spray directly at it either, bag or not the pressure washer will cut right through. I suggest keeping the spray wide and the PSI's down to avoid messing up anything too.

Its a pain in the ***, but I would pull the opti and check it out before driving the car too much. You don't want it to stay wet in there for a lengthened period of time, or a lot of corrosion could occur.

I was gonna say let it dry completely before trying to run it. This would avoid any wet connections from shorting or what not. MANY motors won't run imediatly after pressure washing, but one thing or another dries and they will.

As for checking the opti, that gamble is up to you.

Better stick to spray cleaner in can and a good rag.

Washing your motor like that is a bad idea to begin with. You've just gotta get in there with rags and do it by hand. I know it sucks ,but would it be worth it to have to change your opti? I really dont think so.
