Default Still waiting for your AFR heads?

Ok. What's with AFR? How long am I going to wait for my heads past the date they gave me? I know I'm not alone on this one. I ordered some afr heads, AFR gave me a date that I would get them. Dec. 5th. I know it's only been a couple of days, but I know a few people that have waited a while. Has anyone experienced this? Is it common? Anyone that got their heads around the date given?

If I recall, mine came within a week or so of the due date. That was about the middle of last year though.

2 days aint nothin... why don't you call them and get an updated schedule. It's kind of difficult for any company to predict an exact day you're going to get a product that's ordered months in advance (assuming they still have a 2-3 month lead time) Lot's of variables to consider...

I'm not expecting them anytime soon. Basically I wanted to know if they deliver around the time frame, and not a month or 2 months past the date they give. I 've talked to someone that waited a month past the time they gave them. And considering they stopped making the heads to re-tool their cnc machine, they prob. are backed up a little.

I just picked up my AFR 210s today as a matter of fact. I ended up selling them to since I have changed my mind on my setup. I ordered them on July 25th.

AFR has consistently been 12-16 weeks from what I've heard.

Look at it this way. At least you are not waiting on LSx heads with all the flooding I heard the foundry was flooded and they had to start over

On that note we waited from oct-feb last year for our LT4 210s

Just call them. They should be able to give you an update on the order status.

If anyone needs a set of bare castings, Gomer has some he might be selling. PM him for details.
