Default Tire pressure?

I just got a pair of used nitto 555r DR's with good tread on them. I was wondering, when I get them put on what pressure should they be set at? 25 or so? I'm not familiar with what will be better for everyday driving. They are 275/40/17. Also, do you think these will give me nice traction for a bolt on 94 Z28 A4? I have the stock 3:23 gear and the car does have LT headers on it. Thanks for the advice.

I ran my 275/50/15s at 28psi on the street. I never got them to hook at the strip so that's why I sold them. It's prolly because they had too many heats cycles or something because the rubber was really hard to get soft. Needless to say I could break both of them loose from a 15mph roll.

I hope I don't have that problem. With the tires I have now, if I hit it from a 35 roll, when the car downshifts I'll spin pretty bad. Flooring it off the line is just a waste of time...When I was stock, I had nitto 555r 245/50/16's on the car and I had no problem getting traction. I would think, wider tires with my mods "should" equal out.

Wow, no one has an idea where my tire pressure should be? I would think this thread would have a lot of comments. Tires are one of the most important things. I'm just worried I'm going to be driving around without enough air, or too much.

Don't wanna do daily driving on low pressure. You'll have a Firestone/Ford deal. Ford said inflate the tires at one pressure and that was much lower than the Firestone recommendation. Look on your tire for max inflation to give you an idea of the best range.

I think 30 is what they call for. Although, you can tell the tire is pretty hard at 30. I would think 25 or 26 would be alright. I just don't want to have that firestone deal your talking about.

Kevin Hall do you ride around with tire pressure at 23? Any problems?
