Default An early LT-4 383 Ported Head Cousin shot

Here's the first shot after I ported the heads and put on the homemade brackets and Vortech V-2 SQ S-trim head unit. The short block is a GMPP 4-bolt, late model roller block, clearanced for stroker Speed-O-Motive rotating assembly by me. The heads are Edelbrock E-Tec 200's, ported, matched and polished (exhaust & chamber only) by me with a valve job by Bob Gromm Racing Heads.

I've added a lot on top of the motor since then.

Suggestions about paint ideas or other welcome.

Jim

Nice sleeper setup! One question though, I was looking at the other pics on your webpage. And on the belt and pulley setup, couldn't you have just eliminated that far outboard idler that the vortech belt loops around and just used a much shorter setup going around only the crank, blower, and blower tensioner? If I'm looking at the picture correctly and my orientation is correct, there will be signficant strain on that outboard pulley with the direction the motor pulleys will rotate when you stab the gas.
