Ditto. Went thru 3 busted *** ones from Advance. Every time we took it apart there was something F(#&$)#Ed up.

Do Your self a favor and spend the extra buck and buy a brand new G.M. O.E. unit or MSD. Dont settle for anything less. Its not hard to replace, just time cunsuming. I could'nt agree more with outlaw 5.3

I'd take the cap off and put loctite on the screws holding the rotor on no matter what kind or where you get it from.

Update:
Well it turns out that the cap is broken and causing cylinder #7 to misfire. Apparently the spark is being crossed between 1-5-7, so huge misfires. For now I was thinking on buying the MSD Distributor Cap and Rotor Kit. Yay or Nay?

Default broken cap

well if that is the only thing wrong yea just replace the cap but make sure you clean it out and when putting it back together make sure the gasket is in place second for added protection run a thin layer of silicone a round the outside of the case were it come together after you get it together. i hope it works for you
