It's listed as a RPO code on the door. It will actuall say WS6. search for Ws6 rpo and you'll see a thread that has a pic of it in their door decal. Hope this helps.

Ok, I looked up the RPO codes for the trans am and ive become a bit confused. The Car is supposed to be a 1997 M6 Trans Am with Black Leather interior and Monsoon sound. I looked up the codes and this is what im confused about

WS9-Model Conversion, Formula >>>> Does this mean its really a formula?
UNo-Monsoon Sound >>>> I do not have this code on the sheet but i have monsoon sound, i also have the W55 code which is a 10 speaker system, and i also only know where 8 are, where are the other 2??
I also do not have the code for leather on here and these codes are unknown;
T78
ZV1
15A
14I
142
41U
6HE
7HE

can anyone help me out here, did i really buy a trans am clone that originally didnt have monsoon sound or leahter seats? Thanks

If this is not a sticky somewhere, someone should put it up;

http://tech.firebirdv6.com/generalspecs.html

It literally lists every code imaginable. Enjoy!

ok, out of all those codes i only found one more that i didnt have before, it was the 15a, also the w55 also mentioned monsoon so it came original with it. But there still isnt a translation for those other codes and i still dont dont if ws9 ment it used to be a formula and someone just put the trans am front bumper cover and spoiler on it, can anyone explain this one to me? Also there is no code for leather so could he have switched the seats into? im not really concerned that much im just curious really. Let me know, thanks

If I'm not mistaken, my WS6 has both the WS9 and WS6 codes.

I think the WS9 code just means that it was a base model Firebird that was upgraded to a V8 at the factory. The WS6 is a ram air upgrade. If it says WS9 and not WS6 in your RPO code then it's not a WS6. Here's a link to an RPO decoder, this should tell you everything you want to know. To use it though you'll have to register first. Just click "home" to register http://www.theformulasource.com/modu...&name=gen4_rpo
Hope this helps

For the Monsoon system, the two rear speaker covers in the hatch cover two speakers per side. There is a set of tweeters in the back along with regular speakers.
