Default SUPERcharge it?

Hey guys, thinking about supercharging the ol' lt1, anybody know of the cheapest ones, i like vortech, saw it on ebay for a little over 3k, is there any other mods that would have to support the supercharger? I have hooker cat back ,but anything internal?

Yeah, your lt1, if it is stock, won't last long if you get a supercharger and it has high mileage.

You would probably need larger injectors, fuel pump possibly, and probably tuning.

If it's stock you will most likely want to keep the boost low until you can redo the bottom end.

I think the powerdyne kits are pretty cheap but I am unsure of this though. I think the cheaper units are belt driven and tend to break belts from time to time. Maybe someone can help clear this up.

I run a Vortech SQ trim - from Jason Short - 11.46@120 with 120k+ miles - stock heads, stock bottom end, stock trans + rear.

I get blowby and i'm sure the ring lands are toast but it hasn't grenaded yet.
