hot cam kit

do any of yall think the hot cam kit from gm is worth it? id like to cam my car, change roller rockers, springs and all that im just wonderin if the kit is the best way to do it.

its hard to beat the price, but there are alot better cams out there... just depend how far you want to go, and how much you want to spend.

i dynoed 344 with the hot cam kit and bolt ons. ran mid low 12s

Price is nice, I am saving to buy up a CC305. Summit sells it for like 529 i think, I want the CC305 because of the 220/230 duration, the hot cam is 218/228. Its slightly larger and I can still get away with a smog check. but the cam it self is about 250, I believe the spring/retainer kit is about 125. the rocker arms I want are just over 300, and I want to replace my pushrods too about 120.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. You can get a used one for a really good deal. I sold mine for $300

Hey Chris i have a set of push rods hardend stock length ill give you for 50 bucks like brand new maybe 2 hours of run time on them new i had to go with shorter pushrods because im running a 1.65 ratio rocker

I'd say hotcam/CC305/etc (smaller cams) are great for daily drivers that want to still retain some bottom end torque and a slightly noticable change in exhaust note.

the Lt4 HOTCAM is a decent daily driver cam. just don't let someone sell you a stock LT4 and call it a hotcam, they are two different profiles, both being more aggressive than the LT1 cam.
