Ok, ever since i got my T/a there ha been a lot of jealousy among my friends, and now since i have gotten it everyone thinks im spoiled, even though ive been extremely lucky in finding good deals buyind and selling cars and i saved all the money myself, and a friend of mine with a lot of money is going out and getting an LS1 T/A (he doesnt even know what LS1 is) ok, just wondering but would LT headers and a catback and a good intake give me enough to beat an LS1? I cant let him steal my thunder!!!

you need some long tubes off road y pipe a good intake some gears 4.10's and if your a4 a torque converter.

i wasnt asking what i need to beat one, i know plenty of things that can be done, my soul goal in life is not to beat an LS1, i already have plans for my can and full exhaust and intake are all im doing to the engine right now, im just wondering that if i do that if it will be enough, i know gears and everything else will do that for me but im not going to get gears or cam or heads anytime soon. I was just curious

 

with the mods you have now he should beat you, after you get your other mods you will get him

 

this is gonna be a long thread.......ory, catback, stall, gears should get your there, or you could do the fuel system+exhaust

Seriously though, one person will give a suggestion, then another person (probably a newb LS1 owner) will come in to the thread saying "I've beat full bolton LT1s with my stock LS1, blah, blah" Then an LT1 owner will get pissed off and say "I beat a stock LS1 with just full exhaust."

Ok, so you're not asking what it takes to beat an LS1, you're asking if what you have is what it takes to beat an LS1. THATS THE SAME DAMN THING! People are trying to tell you, since you have a CAI and catback, you will get beat... so get some gears, a stall, and headers with an ORY and you can beat him.
